Town services

Nine towns have a healer, a Kafra Helper, a warper and a Hunting Board. Everything else stands in the hub (@hub, group Services): the Job Master, the reset, the stylist, the card remover, the Instance Manager, the Field Guide, the Gym Trainer and the Costume Stylist, next to another healer, Kafra Helper and Hunting Board. All are free.

What each NPC does

NPC Where Does
Healer towns and hub Full HP and SP, plus Blessing 10, Increase AGI 10 and Impositio Manus 5 for 10 minutes
Kafra Helper towns and hub Identify all, repair broken items, storage (personal, the ten extra storages, guild), a tool shop and a sell window, your class's mount (below)
Hunting Board towns and hub Daily and weekly kill missions (Hunting)
Warper towns The standard warper: towns, fields, dungeons, instances, last warp (the hub is reached with @hub). A map with a level gate (as for @warp, e.g. Nifl dungeon 2F at 240) waits until you have the level
Job Master hub Job changes up to 4th class, with Sol's no-rebirth path (below)
Stat and Skill Reset hub Stat reset, skill reset or both; no limit
Stylist hub Clothes colour, hair style and hair colour
Card Remover hub Removes cards from an equipped item; never fails and never destroys the item or the cards. The Permanent Card Remover (Kachua, 0.5 %) does the same anywhere: double-click it, pick one of your equipped pieces that has cards, and its cards come off into your bag. It never fails and is not used up
Instance Manager hub The same menu as @instance (Instances)
Field Guide hub Warps to hunting grounds that are otherwise behind a story quest
Gym Trainer hub (the original, Ripped Cabus, in Payon at 173,141) Takes one Gym Pass per level of Enlarge Weight Limit (below)
Costume Stylist hub Puts a costume stone into the costume you wear; takes costumes apart for stones (below)

Kafra Helper

The Kafra Helper stands where the storage NPC used to (same cells, table above) and in the hub. Its menu:

  • Identify all (the first row): identifies every unidentified item you carry and says how many.
  • Repair broken items: repairs everything broken you carry, at the official repairman's price (5,000 zeny per item). It shows the count and the cost first; with nothing broken it says so.
  • Storage, Extra storage 1-10 and Guild storage: the same storages as @storage and @storage 1-10.
  • Tool shop: the Prontera tool dealer's goods (Red, Orange, Yellow, White and Green Potions, Concentration and Awakening Potions, Fly Wing, Butterfly Wing, Magnifier, Arrows, Trap, Monocle) plus Blue Potion, Grape Juice, Mastela Fruit and Blue Herb, at the official prices (Discount works), and Giant Fly Wing (500 z: used by a party leader it teleports the leader and calls the party members on the map along) and Convex Mirror (1,000 z, shows where the map's MVP is for 10 minutes). Blue, Yellow and Red Gemstone at the official price (600 z).
  • Sell items: the shop's sell window: sell what you carry for zeny at the item's normal sell price (Overcharge works).
  • Save: your respawn point becomes the cell @go <town> takes you to (in the hub, the cell @go hub lands on).
  • Mount, free, on and off: Peco Peco (Knight, Lord Knight, Crusader, Paladin), Dragon (Rune Knight, Dragon Knight), Gryphon (Royal Guard, Imperial Guard), Mado Gear (Mechanic, Meister), Cart (every merchant class), Falcon (Hunter, Sniper), Warg (Ranger, Windhawk; ridden once you have Warg Rider). You need the class's skill (Peco Peco Riding, Dragon Training, Mado License, Pushcart, Falconry Mastery, Warg Mastery); the helper says which one is missing. Other classes have no class mount: the Reins of Mount work for every class (on Sol it can be used again after half a second).

Guides and Smile Assistance NPCs that stood next to the town NPCs now wait by a town gate, and the castle flags in the towns are gone (the flags in the castles stay).

Storage and the ten extra storages

  • @storage opens your normal storage from anywhere.
  • @storage 1 to @storage 10 open ten extra account storages, "Storage 1" to "Storage 10". Every character of your account shares them. The Kafra Helper offers the same.
  • A storage will not open while you are vending or have another storage or a shop open.
  • Every equipment piece fits in your storage, account-bound gear too (Imperial, Grace, Noblesse and the rest). Exceptions: the Booster's gear, rental and trial gear, and wedding pieces. Account-bound gear still cannot go into the guild storage, be traded or dropped.

Costume stones

Costume stones give a costume an effect: an Upper, Middle or Lower stone goes into the costume headgear worn in that position, a Garment stone into the first slot of the costume garment, a Dual stone into its second slot. Wear the costume, bring the stone and talk to the Costume Stylist (hub, group Services): the stone is used up and set into the costume (any costume; it always works on Sol). A stone already in that slot is replaced and lost. The costume comes back to your bag: put it on again. Rental costumes cannot take stones. You can also double-click a stone in your bag: the same window asks first, names the costume and warns before it replaces a stone.

Stones that belong together (for example Critical Stone Upper, Middle and Lower, or a class's Garment stone with its Upper, Middle or Lower stone) give their extra set bonus when all of them sit in costumes you wear.

The Costume Stylist also takes costumes apart: one costume for one random costume stone. Class stones come from the Class Enchant Stone Box (Nightmare Bio Lab). Where stones and costumes come from: Costumes.

Weight and inventory

  • Inventory: 200 slots for every character. A new character has 200 from its first login, an older one from its next login. Inventory Expansion Vouchers are not needed (they do nothing on Sol, and the Booster packs no longer hold them).
  • Enlarge Weight Limit: up to +50,000 weight. Bring a Gym Pass to the Gym Trainer in the hub (group Services) or to Ripped Cabus in Payon (173,141): each pass is one level, +5,000 weight per level (kRO gives +200), 10 levels. The skill stays for good; if it ever goes missing, the trainer's "my workouts wore off" option gives it back for free.
  • Gym Passes come from the Hunting Shop (10 Hunting Coins), the Booster Coin shop (Booster, 10 Booster Coins) and the login calendar (days 4 and 11). A pass cannot be traded, dropped, sold or stored in the cart or guild storage.

Training dummies

Six dummies stand in north-east Prontera (@go dummy), two rows of three: Small, Medium and Large.

Row Dummies Class
North (y 247) Boss Dummy (Small / Medium / Large) Boss: bonuses against Boss monsters count
South (y 243) Normal Dummy (Small / Medium / Large) Normal: bonuses against normal monsters count

All of them have 2 billion HP, never move or fight back, are Formless and Neutral 1, and give no EXP or drops. Hit one and every 5 seconds it says in chat how much damage it took and the DPS ("Normal Dummy (Medium): 5 s, 9,624 damage, 1,924 DPS"). When nothing has hit it for 5 seconds it gives the whole session: its length, the total and the average DPS. The dummy counts everything it takes: with two players on one dummy the numbers are both of you together, so use a dummy each. A dummy cannot show your single highest hit. A free healer (heal and buffs) stands just north of the dummies.

kRO's Training Zone is open too (since 2026-10-16): the Training Instructor in south-east Prontera (246, 62) sends you to the Basic, 1/10 and 1/100 training grounds (tra_fild01-03), large fields full of official training dummies of every size, race and element. Storage soldiers there open your storage for 1,000 zeny.

Refining safely

Each piece is safe up to a level that depends on the gear (level 1 weapons +7, level 2 +6, level 3 +5, level 4 +4; level 1 armor +4). Past that, in the refine window (Vestri, or double-click any refine ore):

Ore Odds On failure
Elunium / Oridecon (and Phracon, Emveretarcon) normal the piece breaks
Enriched Elunium / Oridecon higher the piece breaks
HD Elunium / Oridecon normal the piece loses one refine level, never breaks
any ore with Blacksmith's Blessings (+8 and up) that ore's nothing is lost

So +5 to +7, where Blessings cannot be used, is safe only with HD ore or a certificate below. Level 2 armor and level 5 weapons (4th-job gear) never break below +11: a failure only takes refine levels.

Shadow gear (refines to +10) takes Blessings too on Sol, from +7 to +8: 1 Blessing, +8 to +9: 2, +9 to +10: 4, the same as other gear (kRO's shadow tables have none). Tick the Blessing box in the refine window.

Refine Master

The Refine Master (hub, group Refine and Grade; also in Prontera at 184,177) refines a piece you are wearing to the level of a safe refine certificate, without any chance of failure. Equip the piece, talk to him, pick the slot and the certificate. The piece must be below the certificate's level; one certificate is used.

  • Certificates: weapon and armor certificates for +5 to +19 (the "+N Weapon Refine Ticket", "+N Weapon Certificate", "Safe to N Weapon Certificate" items and their armor twins). The Refining Certificate Envelopes from Kachua's Secret Keys give +7 to +10, the Advanced ones +11 to +13 (Kachua). The +7 Weapon and +7 Armor tickets are sold at the Instance Coin Shop for 20 coins each.
  • Works on weapons of level 1 to 4 and armor of level 1, as official. 4th-job gear (weapon level 5, armor level 2) and shadow gear are refused.

Job Master: no rebirth

Sol skips rebirth. The path is:

Novice -> High 1st class -> transcendent 2nd class -> 3rd class -> 4th class

  • A character still in a normal (non-transcendent) 2nd class is offered only the upgrade to its transcendent class. It keeps its base level, stats and skills; job level starts again at 1.
  • Requirements: 2nd class at job level 40; 3rd class at base 99 and job 50; 4th class at base 200 and job 70. Spend all skill points before changing.
  • Expanded classes, Doram and baby classes work as usual. Star Emperor goes on to Sky Emperor and Soul Reaper to Soul Ascetic.
